Chapter 160

John Wells and Lavina Dye Bradley

John Wells spent much of his early life in Preston. He married Lavina Dye and they lived in a little cement house in Preston. Wells built a two-part garage on the main street of town. There was a small room between the two garage doors where he and Lavina (Vina) had the post office for some time. Their son Jack was born while they lived in Preston. After running the garage and the post office for some time they moved to Ely. Vina returned to Preston when their second son, Orthello (Bud), was born. Another child, Carol, was born in Ely. Wells and Lavina have both passed away (1980).
