Shoulder length hair of brown,
Always smiling - never a frown.
Race walking down the street at night.
Laughing in the rain - giggling with delight.

Trying to swim in the freezing cold Spring,
Patient as she tried to teach me to sing.
Groovin' on the cattle guards by driving real slow,
Or going to Preston's cemetery by the moon's glow.

Sleeping all night in our bags on the lawn,
Talking and giggling all night until dawn.
Sally made the simple ordinary things in life seem like fun.
Whether checking on irrigation or just getting the dishes done.

Sally knew the Lord at a very young age,
Read her scriptures, and in her diary filled each page.
Sally grew up to be a wonderful wife and mother,
She learned, by loving her sisters and each brother.

Sally didn't complain when it seemed sometimes she was given more than her share.
That virtue stayed with her and her service to the Lord was beyond compare.
The Lord needed her for a work of His own
So He took her back to His Heavenly Home.

But she's not far away, and can come back any time,
To comfort her husband and make sure her kids are fine.
Those who leave are so happy their test in life is through,
They are happy where they are, and they have so much to do.

Someday when the grieving is over we'll understand more,
How death is a window ...... it isn't a door!
