Sally Meservy
One of my favorite memories of Sally, and something I'll never forget, is my first year at girl's camp. Sally was the Young Women's President, and I was just a little Beehive. I loved spending time with her and participating in the activities she planned. I also loved listening to the lessons she had prepared for us. We would always sit around the campfire and sing songs. Sally would always sing the harmony of most of the songs we ever sang.
I remember one night at camp; we were all sitting around the campfire singing songs. I didn't really know any because I was new and hadn't been to camp before. Sally had her guitar, and she was teaching us songs. We sang "Last Kiss", and I didn't know it, but Sally sang it for us, and we learned it really fast. I have grown to LOVE that song! I will never forget Sally playing her guitar for all of the young women to sing along to. Every time I hear "Last Kiss", it reminds me of Sally, and my first year at girl's camp. I'll always love that song, and it will always remind me of Sally.
Something else I remember about Sally is her and my mom talking FOREVER! She would come down to my house, and I would sit and talk with her and my mom for a while. Then I would go to bed, and they would stay up all night talking. I remember waking up one time around 12:30 a.m. or so and hearing them laughing and talking. They talked about everything and solved all of the neighborhood's problems in our living room!
