Tribute to Robert Morris Oxborrow (Dad)

As you come to the end of a chapter
In your life---Yes, you're really retired!
May your memories be sweet
As the chocolate you can't eat
And be thankful you didn't get fired!

If you find you become a bit lazy,
Some suggestions to keep yourself busy:
You can read a good book,
Wait on Mom hand and foot,
Or tend your grandkids till you're dizzy!

Your students will go onward and upward
Your career has been nothing but bliss
There'll be no need for scruples
When you see your past pupils
You can gloat as they throw you a kiss!

Stay away from the rice and the fat food
And the wine and the women and song,
The farm work must go
No more shovel or hoe
And of boredom, you'll die before long!

The tall tales retold by your children
Some are funny, some may even be true!
But all joking aside
We're all filled with pride
We've learned many great lessons from you!
