Sally Meservy

I have several memories about Sally. We have worked together in the Young Women, been visiting teacher partners, and Sally was my visiting teacher.

I remember one of the first Young Women camping trips we went on. We were getting ready to settle down for the night. I took out my contacts. I was so embarrassed because I brought out these old taped-up glasses. I said, "You guys will have to excuse these glasses. I'm just too cheap to buy new ones. I have to have them because, as you can tell, I'm blind without them. Jay calls them coke bottle bottom glasses." DeAnn Lee started laughing. She said, "Sally come here and look at these! I thought you were the only one that had glasses like this." Sally said, "It's pretty awful to be so blind isn't it." So Sally and I realized we had something in common.

I will always have a special place in my heart for Sally. She was a special friend. I can say that Sally was a person that made a difference in everyone's life.
