Sally Meservy
I have struggled about what to say about Sally. Of course, she had been on my mind so very much since that horrible Friday evening, Nov. l. What can I say? Sally is my eternal friend, she is my "angel", she is my mentor, she is my sister. I love and miss our long talks and the way she helped me through the hard times. I miss her especially now as I strive to make sense of life. Sally was always so philosophical. She would tell me that "things will work out" and I would believe her because she believed it herself.
But as I've pondered what I really want to say, my thoughts have constantly been turned to our long talks about her children. How Sally loved her children! I hope what I write now does not offend-it is meant as a shared and precious memory I have of the words Sally shared with me about her kids.
"I have decided to not post the individual comments to each of the kids but have chosen to leave them private.(MBM)"
And finally, to Mike-Sally's eternal companion. Sally loved you and continues to love you. We had lots of discussions about husbands, but she knew you were the one she was supposed to marry and that, through thick and thin, you loved her and she loved you. She worried about finances and wished that you could spend more time with the kids. I'm sure she is so proud of your strength and your faith as you now strive to pull your family together and get through this together. Thank you for showing me how to have faith and how to be strong. I love my dear friend, Sally and I love you and your sweet family. How grateful I am to know that we have a Father in Heaven who knows all things, and how grateful I am to know that friends are eternal.
