Sally Meservy
I will never forget Sally. She is a dear, sweet, caring, and beautiful person who will be missed by our family. She has been an example, not only to me, but to each of my daughters.
I was honored to serve with her in the Relief Society and Young Women Presidencies. She had so much integrity. She was honest, careful not to judge others, she was loyal, and she loved and lived the gospel. I can remember our first presidency meeting, she was concerned about a certain leader in our ward, she made it clear to us that she wanted us all to be respectful and supportive and not spend any of our time speaking negatively about the person. I was so impressed; in her own special way she taught me to sustain this leader and to refrain from negative thinking.
One day I called her in panic, Jane was doing a photography presentation that night. We were using the computer to project her photos onto a big screen on the stage. It wasn't working! I was frantic, I tried to explain the problem to her and ask if Mike could suggest any help. Within a few minutes, Sally was there! She brought Mike and projectors and equipment she had gotten to the church to help us. That meant so much to us. She always went the extra mile to help people.
When my daughters visited our ward, they looked for Sally. They loved her. She would always be interested in what and how they were doing. I could (and did) tell Sally very personal things and knew that she would never betray my confidence.
I will miss her beautiful alto voice, and her beautiful smile (I have FELT her smile this past week.) I truly believe Sally is perfect. I love her and I will miss her so much.
