Sally Meservy
When my mother passed away, my cousin gave me a card that I read often. It has this small verse in it;
You'll never forget your mother's face
Or the sound of her voice
Or the gentleness of her touch.
They let you know you were loved.
You'll never forget the stories she told
Or the traditions she handed down
They let you know who you are.
You'll never forget the lessons she taught
Or the things she stood for
They are her gift and her legacy.
You'll never forget and you'll always know
That you honor her every day in how
You live and who you are. . .
I will always remember Sally for her great example of a good and happy life. As her family goes on without her, I hope you can find some comfort in the verse above. That you never have to forget her face, her voice or her touch. Always enjoy the traditions she started. Remember the things she taught and stood for. For these are her gifts to you. And as you live your lives each day, you will honor her and her legacy that she left you.
May the Lord bless each of you as you continue on in this life.
